Maja Balaban Luke, APRN, CNM, MSCP, Sexuality Educator has over 20 years of experience in women’s health. She completed her master’s degree in nursing (MSN) in 2003 at UIC and was trained as a CNM (Certified Nurse Midwife) and WHNP (Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner).
She worked as a full-scope nurse midwife at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center (AIMMC) for 14 years and helped over 500 women safely deliver their babies.
Since 2017 she has been working at the Creticos Cancer Center in Gynecologic Oncology and has developed and is currently running Women’s Intimate, Sexual Health and Menopause program there. She is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and has completed multiple trainings in sexual health including Sexual Health Certificate program at the University of Michigan.
Her passions are education and empowerment of women, and normalization of conversations about menopause, sexual and intimate health.

Prenatal Massage CertificationThis is a continuing education class for licensed massage therapists and other professionally licensed bodyworkers. The benefits and contraindications of massage, medical conditions that may effect the massage, and additional terms will be covered to make the therapist more knowledgeable and competent to work with the expecting population.
There will be a demonstration performed by the instructor, two trades, and participants will give a massage to an expecting client. Participants are asked to bring their own table, a non scented lubricant, 2 fitted sheets, 4 flat sheets, 2 pillow cases, a regular sized pillow, comfortable clothes to work, and writing utensils. Manuals, tables and specialized pillows are provided. 16 CE Hours

Advanced Side-Lying TechniquesThe Side-Lying Position can be intimidating for massage therapists when trying to master draping and delivering deeper pressure. There are many benefits to this position that are often underestimated.
The class will include discussion on populations that benefit from side lying, a demonstration, and trades. Participants are asked to bring their own table, a non scented lubricant, writing utensils, 1 fitted sheets, 2 flat sheets, 2 pillow cases, a regular sized pillow and comfortable clothes to work. Specialty pillows and manuals will be provided. 7 CE Hours
