Rebecca Grimwade Brown’s exposure to healing touch first came at the age of five. She learned then that, no matter the situation, everyone benefits from nurturing touch. This truth stayed with her and led her to the field of massage therapy. Becca graduated from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2003 and developed a speciality in both clinical and prenatal massage therapy. In 2008, she became a teacher at the New School of Massage Therapy, where she taught anatomy, physiology, clinical massage, and sports massage. Becca became an approved provider with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) in 2011 and teaches continuing education to massage therapists, specializing in prenatal massage and Myofascial therapies.
Becca lives in the Portage Park neighborhood of Chicago with her daughter Sera. She worked at Urban Oasis for 14 years, maintains a private practice, and provides doula services throughout Chicagoland. She enjoys biking and yoga, but most of all she enjoys the adventures of being a mother.
